Quality
The best way to know a caricaturist is skilled is to see their work first hand. The work drawn at a party may differ from the work displayed, which is why Jennifer's business is mostly repeat business or guests from events she has drawn at. Speed
Call (949) 690-3926 for an estimate. No caricaturist can promise an exact number per hour; it depends on the tempo of the party, how quickly guests sit down, guests' ages, name tags, drawing size, and how many details guests request.
Tips for Speed and Timing
1. Use name tags, especially for children or noisy places.
2. For more guests per hour, consider faces only.
3. Start the caricaturist at the beginning of the event, as guests arrive, before cake, presents, awards, candle lighting, speeches or other entertainment cause stops.
Arrival
The caricaturist likes to be set up at least 30 minutes before drawing time.
Parking
If parking is an issue, let your caricaturist know in advance. A parking spot is necessary; ask whether one can be reserved and whether there are fees.
Pre-Printed Paper
Jennifer can pre-print paper with your name, business name and/or sentiments. There is an extra charge and it must be pre-arranged.
Set-up
Indoors, an electrical outlet is required for the artist's lights. Outdoors, solid shade in daylight or an outlet for lights after dark. Jennifer brings her own easel, lights, pens, paper and clear plastic bags.
Personality
Talk with your caricaturist by phone, not just e-mail. Do they seem patient, respectful and right for your event? Jennifer is patient, respectful, reliable and well dressed, with reliable transportation. Her drawings are flattering and her humor shows in her caricatures.
Children & Babies
Drawing children and babies takes special skill. Jennifer has it, plus lots of experience at children's parties.
Special Drawing Ideas
Jennifer can also draw on T-shirts or pillow cases. Arrange in advance; rates differ from caricatures on paper.
Proms & Graduations
Jennifer is especially popular at proms and graduations. Book early, as the schedule fills quickly, though a few dates stay open until the last days.
Multiple Artists
Jennifer works with a team of talented professional caricaturists and can provide multiple artists at large events for an additional charge per artist.
